About the AKC Canine Good Citizen program

The AKC Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part course; one for the pet and the pet owner. The dog owner draws the short straw; they must pledge to maintain the dog's safety, health, and quality of life. The dog goes through 10 part skills program that streamlines their social behaviors, obedience, walking skills, and confidence.
